What will you be doing in this role?

The Senior Manager, MN Clinical Ops is responsible for the planning, organizing and managing of assigned areas. Works closely with leadership and physician management in the centralized infrastructure development and operations for a specific specialty, regional program or department. The Senior Manager, MN Clinical Ops plays an important role in coordinating the strategic planning, program and policy development for multiple sites to ensure successful implementation and monitoring. Ensures department supports the needs of patients, physicians and staff and implements process improvement initiatives.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Manages the administrative and clinical services for a multi-specialty ASC.
• Plans, coordinates, implements and monitors projects and initiatives relating to operations, and ensures they are consistent with strategic mission.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal laws, professional and regulatory agency standards and licensure requirements. Maintains staff compliance with health system and Foundation policies, procedures and protocols.
• Understands and supports the business requirements and fiscal structure of the Foundation, including patient assignment, risk and specialty network structures, and utilization management. Functions as key resource for staff and physicians in support of these requirements.
• Assumes fiscal responsibility for areas of oversight, including budget preparation, expense control and revenue enhancement. Develops business and operations plans for assigned areas, programs and services in collaboration with Executive Director.
• Establishes effective patient care processes and workflows in collaboration with other leaders. Develops and supports policies and procedures that support the provision of quality and timely patient care services.
• Maintains appropriate quality control programs and partners proactively with risk, quality, safety and clinical operations leadership to ensure continuous monitoring and improvement in provision of clinical services.
• Functions as key resource for staff and physicians in utilization of key information systems and technologies. Assumes responsibility as practice liaison for the resolution of system-related issues, identification of opportunities for improvement and implementation of key systems and system and workflow enhancements.
• Supervises employees in immediate areas of oversight, including administrative, clinical, technician and health information staff. In conjunction with executive and medical leadership, provides direct administrative supervision of physician extenders. Assesses qualifications and hires candidates, assumes responsibility for the assessment and improvement of competencies, work assignments and schedules, orienting, coaching, training, in-services, performance evaluation, compensation, mentoring, discipline and terminating employment. Partners with appropriate departments in the necessary execution of these duties (e.g. clinical services, risk, quality, human resources).
• Demonstrates leadership to promote collaborative teamwork, cross-training and flexing of staff across operational areas, open communication and problem solving to ensure effective coordination and integration of services between operational areas and programs. Demonstrates consistent ability to promote, enhance and support the organizational culture.

This Clinical Operations Manager position is remote but requires extensive travel, with up to 70% of your time spent visiting SCAH facilities and attending sponsored events. Candidates must prepare to travel frequently to various locations, as on-site presence is critical to the role’s responsibilities listed below.   

• Regional Operations Partnership 
• Direct support of approximately 10-15 SCAH facilities or up to 2 regions
• Accreditation and Regulatory Readiness Support 
• Assist with access to NHSN, DPH regulatory reporting platforms, etc. 
• Safety Event Management 
• Assist/Activate Apparent Cause Analysis (ACA) Process 
• Assist/Activate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process  – provide guidance for entering and closing out RCA files 
• Ongoing Quality and Performance Improvement 
• Educate facility CLT on Insight Clinical Dashboards, Proactive Risk Assessment reports, clinical outcomes, Clinical Quality Index, etc. Provide reminders and periodic checks. 
• CEO and Clinical Leadership Support 
• Partnered/leveraged in the interview process for new clinical leaders and CEOs 

Qualifications:

• Leadership/supervisor experience with oversight of daily operations, managing relationships and change management in healthcare setting preferred.
• Licensed Registered Nurse with training and experience working in the ambulatory surgery center (ASC) industry preferred. Must be an RN with active unrestricted licensure.
• Proficient in the use of select Microsoft Office applications; i.e., Word, Excel and PowerPoint or other database management applications. 
• Requires public speaking skills and ability to deliver effective presentations and education to groups of clinicians and SCAH Leaders. 
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills. 
• Candidates residing in OR, WA, CA or adjacent states are preferred due to proximity to service area.

The Director, Clinical Operations is responsible for the overall organization, direction, and oversight of care delivery, care planning, hospital and partner relationships, and the achievement of key performance metrics within a defined geographic region or service line. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple outpatient sites within the Cedars-Sinai Medical Network, while maintaining alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards.

In this capacity, the Director provides leadership for daily operations, clinical workflows, and standardized processes across all assigned locations. Responsibilities include the management of operational programs and services, financial performance, and staff leadership, ensuring that resources are utilized effectively to support both clinical excellence and operational efficiency. The Director is accountable for driving performance in key areas such as quality outcomes, patient safety, patient experience, and operational metrics.

Serving as a key liaison, the Director collaborates closely with local hospital leadership, medical staff, ancillary departments, and interdisciplinary teams to promote seamless care coordination and strong partnerships. This role emphasizes patient advocacy, ensuring that care delivery models are responsive to patient needs and aligned with best practices.

The Director works in close partnership with the broader operational leadership team to optimize clinical operations, enhance care delivery models, and ensure the consistent application of evidence-based practices across specialties and programs. Additionally, this position plays a critical role in the development, implementation, and evaluation of new models of care, as well as the expansion of services, specialties, procedures, and new practice sites.

Spanish Hills Surgery Center is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to run our multi-specialty surgery center.

We are looking for an exceptional leader who can oversee the clinical operations at our busy facility. The role requires a strong clinical background, operational experience and the ability to effectively manage staff and oversee the flow of the operating rooms in addition to the preop and recovery room.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and oversight of all nursing and clinical support staff.
• Ensure delivery of safe and high-quality patient care.
• Maintain compliance with AAAHC and CMS regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians, administrators and anesthesia providers to optimize safety and patient outcomes.
• Manage the infection control, risk management and safety programs.
• Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and executive leadership.

Qualifications:

• Licensed RN in California
• Minimum of three years operating room experience
• Prior experience in a managerial role
• Prefer someone with knowledge of regulatory standards and accreditation process
